Focus on Issues - looks at news, views, and trends that face our world today. Established by the late Forrest Boyd as a question-and-answer program, it covers a variety of topics as Sharon Gotkin visits with various guests. From UNI's Religion News Desk, the program covers a multitude of issues relating to traditional or cultural trends, morality and ethics, missions, religious liberty and persecution, and other significant developments. This feature has been a staple to radio audiences across the land, and covers topics that are primarily of special interest to Christian audiences.

Guests: This week, (December 28, 2008), Sharon Gotkin's guests are: John Perkins, one of the four co-authors of "Linking Arms, Linking Lives: How Urban-Suburban Partnerships Can Transform Communities," and, Brenda Stoeker, co-author of "The Healing Choice: How to Move Beyond Betrayal."

Topics: 1) Perkins: Talks about breaking down racial barriers by forming partnerships between urban and suburban churches and, 2) Stoeker: Help for women who have been wounded by a husband's infidelity or use of pornography.
